Earth First! Journal is the voice and forum of the radical, no-compromise environmental movement. The EF! Journal delivers you stories and photos of frontlines direct action from around the world, with a focus on North America; prints news and views of radical ecologists; explores biocentric philosophy; critiques reform environmentalism; reports on monkeywrenching and discusses direct action techniques; and includes interviews, book and music reviews, a poetry page and announcements of interest to activists. On the last page is an international directory of EF! contacts.

The EF! Journal is published eight times a year on the solstices, equinoxes, and cross-quarter days, the seasonal holidays of many earth-based cultures. Our subscription list is kept entirely confidential, and is not sold or loaned to anyone. Subscribers are welcome to use aliases for anonymity. Yearly subscriptions are $25 regular US; $35 first-class (US, Canada, Mexico) and international surface mail; $45 international air mail; $50 corporate/law enforcement; and $20 for low income, non-profit or libraries (in the US). All but regular US subscriptions may be received in an anonymous envelope (no EF! markings).

There are many different ways you can donate to the various groups in the Earth First! Movement. Many groups would appreciate an old computer or tools as much as a $100 check, and each has their own wish-list, so contact the group or campaign you would like to support to find out what they need. You can browse our EF! Contacts Directory to contact EF! groups, projects or campaigns besides the EF! Journal.

Earth First! Journal: Our biggest sources of income are from subscriptions and donations (because we don't really advertise), so any monetary gifts are highy appreciated. We send out a fundraising letter once a year around Yule. If you get on our contributors list, you will receive this one letter each year, including a special 6 month gift subscriptions offer, and we won't share or sell this list to any other groups. Of course, you can earmark your donations for our subscription-boosting program, for free library subscriptions or anything else that comes to mind. Direct Action Fund: The DAF gives grants of money or gear to environmental direct action campaigns to save places like Idaho's Cove/Mallard Roadless Area (logging), South Minneapolis Oak Savannah (logging, freeway building), Southeastern California's Ward Valley (nuke waste dump) etc... You can always donate directly to campaigns, but DAF will send you a fundraising letter once a year and then decide which campaigns are most in need. To read more about the DAF, look in our EF!
